Resurgent Summer July is here and despite a difficult year plus, so are we. Entering into the peak of summer, enter into our new normals as we experience the relief of the fading pandemic but also the uncertainty of schedules ramping up and of new choices to be made. In the midst of this period of emergence, resurgence, and change remember to take time to pause, reflect, and ground. Allow some spaciousness to inform your choices. One of the lessons of contemplation is in order to listen we must first be silent. Spend some time doing nothing, connecting to creation, and connecting with others. I am thankful for the opportunities of spaciousness and connection during June. The first, pictured above, was a wonderful trip to Gracie Creek and the Calamus River in the majestic Sandhills. The second, was our solstice celebration at Spring Creek Prairie. So thankful for the help of Joselyn Luedtke, Ken Winston, and Marcia Claesson putting together such a magical night. Stay tuned for another trip out to the prairie in August. Beginning next week (July 12th) we will be trying something new, moving our daily contemplative prayer practice time from the noon-hour to 9:15am Monday-Thursdays. Check out our new schedule below and stay tuned for more opportunities coming in August. |
